- The National Alliance of Preservation Commissions Forum 2024 will take place in West Palm Beach, FL, July 31-August 4. Sessions include presentations by Florida Trust CEO & President Melissa Wyllie and Trustees Emeriti Friederike Mittner, Dr. Leslee Keys and Carter Quina.
- Preserving the Race for Space 2024: From the Earth to the Moon and Beyond, a symposium for historic preservation related to space exploration resources, will take place in Houston, TX, August 13-15, 2024.
- The Florida Public Archaeology’s Network Inter-Tidally United Virtual Summit will take place online on August 16.
- The National Preservation Law Conference will take place in Washington, D.C. on September 12.
- The National Trust for Historic Preservation’s PastForward 2024 conference will take place in New Orleans, October 28-30.

- Stetson University is granted $500,000 to restore its historic Hulley Tower.
- In advance of the 250th anniversary of the United States of America, the National Park Service commissions a Special History Study focusing on the experiences of people who have often been left out of the standard historical narratives of the Revolution in the Southeastern United States.
