Program Manager

Job Responsibilities

Financial Security (25% of time)

  • Handle daily bookkeeping tasks, including recording donations and memberships, paying invoices, processing deposits, etc.
  • Collaborate with financial support services for monthly and annual reports.
  • Act as the point of contact for payroll processing with the off-site accountant.

Organizational Excellence (40% of time)

  • Maintain the Florida Trust House and ensure the office runs smoothly, including supply management.
  • Monitor employee benefits, maintain staff records, track achievements and assist CEO as necessary.
  • Plan and organize Board meetings, schedule staff meetings and help plan events and our annual conference, Preservation on Main Street.

Communications & Program Support (40% of time)

  • Share the Florida Trust mission and its stories through developing a communications strategy and managing communication campaigns over all channels (social media, website, blog, newsletter etc.)
  • Oversee the publication of The Florida Preservationist magazine.
  • Assist with stakeholder communications, advocacy efforts and event promotions, including the Preservation on Main Street Conference.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or equivalent (master’s degree preferred but not required)
  • At least three years of professional experience, with strong organizational and time management skills
  •  Excellent writing and editing skills with an eye for detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, including an ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment
  •  Experience with basic bookkeeping and office management practices
  • Technical skills: Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, Photoshop or equivalent, online marketing platforms, social media, website design preferred.
  • Background or experience with humanities and/or nonprofit management preferred

Position Details

Reports to: CEO & President

Job Type: Full-time, salaried (health insurance, 401(k) with company match, PTO)

Salary: $48,000 to $55,000

Location: In-office at the Florida Trust House, Tallahassee, Florida

Schedule: Monday to Friday, with occasional travel and events during evenings and weekends
